Thrive Themes vs Clickfunnels – The Pros and Cons

Thrive Themes vs ClickFunnels, which should I use?

When I first started out with Affiliate Marketing I started with Clickfunnels.  I was using this successfully for a couple of years.  Then I got into blogging and saw Thrive Themes which is a WordPress plug in.  As I learned how to use Thrive I saw that it was also a very powerful program.  It has some features that are similar to Clickfunnels and some features that are different.  I am hoping to provide some clarity with this blog post.  To be honest I still use both but in very different ways.

I think the first question to answer is: are you planning on just building landing pages/opt-in pages or are you planning on building out a blog and full website?

If you are a blogger and planning on building out a full website then Thrive Themes is the way to go.

Thrive is a very powerful WordPress plugin.  You can choose different themes for your blog.  All of the options are beautiful.  Along with the Thrive Themes, you can also do opt-in pages or capture pages.  You can use banner ads along the sidebar.  There are a ton of options with Thrive Themes for your website.  Peek Behind the Curtain at the 7-Step Launch Strategy That Sold 394 Online Courses… In Just 2 Weeks!

If you are an affiliate marketer and you don’t plan on building a full website then Clickfunnels is the way to go.  ClickFunnels is very easy to use (beginner friendly) drag and drop system for building capture pages and funnels.  A funnel is basically a system for putting people (leads) into the top and as they go thru the sales process (the funnel) hopefully you are able to convert them to be loyal customers.  With the basic Clickfunnels membership, you can build up to 20 funnels.  Then once you build your funnel then your only concern is how to get people into your funnel.

How are Thrive Themes and ClickFunnels the same?

  • You can share pages and funnels with both systems.
  • Both utilize drag and drop page building systems
  • Both have an amazing number of templates to use to get you started
  • Thrive and ClickFunnels both have an amazing education platform for learning how to use their product.
  • Both have affiliate programs
  • There is a learning curve with both programs
  • Both have awesome support

How are Thrive Themes and ClickFunnels different?

ClickFunnels has a 2-week FREE Trial

Thrive is considerably less expensive especially if you purchase the annual plan.

Thrive Themes does not have a trial but if you are not happy you can cancel within the first 30 days and get a full refund.

If you are using Facebook pixel in your marketing I think that Clickfunnels is easier to use. You can add the different Facebook pixel events to each different page of your funnel.  To the best of my knowledge, this is not possible with Thrive Themes.  For example, with Thrive you can add a global pixel for all of your landing pages but not a different pixel for a conversion on your sales page.

As I mentioned earlier in the post with the ClickFunnels basic package you can build up to 20 funnels.  There is no limit with Thrive Themes.

I made an overview video on my You Tube Channel.
